Musical Programme
Surrey Brass delivers a musical programme bristling with pizzazz, mixing in light music, classics, popular tunes, movie music, show tunes, and a smattering of jazz together with some old favourites. Truly something for everyone to enjoy!
- Fanfare from "La Peri" by Paul Dukas
- Prelude "The Spitfire" by William Walton
- Pirates of the Caribbean by Hans Zimmer
- Londonderry Air, a traditional folk tune beautifully arranged for Trombone solo
- From Russia With Love - Bond at his best
- The Mission - Ennio Morricone's atmospheric theme tune
- Trumpet Blues and Cantabile - one of the tunes that made Harry James famous
- Somewhere Over The Rainbow - arranged as a solo for French Horn
- Star Wars Main Titles by John WIlliams - what a way to start the interval!
Interval - with a special Gin Bar to enjoy
- Finlandia by Jean Sibelius
- Flower Duet from from Léo Delibes' opera Lakmé
- My Funny Valentine - unusually arranged as a Bass Trombone solo
- Out of Africa - achingly atmospheric film music from Bond Theme composer John Barry
- Send in The Clowns - by Stephen Sondheim for the musical A Little Night Music, arranged for Flugelhorn solo
- Superman - you'd believe you can fly after this!
- Once Upon a Time in The West - music by Ennio Morricone from one of the best films ever made (officially!)
- Brass Machine - West Coast Jazz fun to close the show
